Chicago Bauhaus and Beyond’s event yesterday at the Elmhurst Art Museum was fantastic on many levels! We toured the Playboy exhibition which focused on architecture and design, with very special guest Candace Collins Jordan giving a talk about her experience as a Bunny, including being a cover girl, centerfold, and Playmate of the Year 1979. She showed her original costumes, told funny and insightful stories and squelched some stereotypes and rumors. She’s an excellent speaker and is doing wonderful philanthropic work today. As if all this wasn’t enough, the exhibition was held inside the McCormick house, designed by Mies van der Mies van der Rohe. Perfect weather, fun and stylish friends getting together… A perfect day! Thanks to Joan Gand and Randi Merel for organizing.
